Created in 2017 by Martin Bruyère and Micheline Marchildon, the Rire Zone gives local comedians the opportunity to perform on stage, in front of an audience!

The show scheduled for October 18 and 19, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. will be in person and will take place at the CCFM with our local comedians :

From St. Boniface to Hollywood, via Toronto and Montreal, Micheline has had a long and fruitful career. As a comedian, actor and host, this Franco-Manitoban has more than 250 episodes and 15 seasons of television. In 2020, Micheline participated in the shows produced by “Juste pour rire”: The next stand-up and le gala Rire in french ! She also participated in the program Trait d’humour, du festival ComédieHa! In the last few years Micheline has participated in the television D’un rire à l’autre co-produced by Juste pour rire and In addition, you can see on TFO and YouTube the humour capsules Guide Micheline des F.H.Q, which include a series of sketches and vox pop, including his favorite characters such as Chantal Hébert, a political analyst, and other francophone characters outside Quebec. For the past 15 years, Ms. Marchildon has been filling festival venues such as the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and the Fringe Festivals in Montreal, Winnipeg and Toronto.



Like the Canadian geese, Michel Roy makes his semi-annual migration to stand-up! For more than 20 years, he has settled in St. Boniface, in St. Pierre, in the basement of the church in St. George depending on his mood and who is willing to pay him a meal. His travels have brought him to share his hilarious humor at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Rendez-vous de la Francophonie and Le Rire Zone. His mom thinks he’s “pretty funny”!




Martin Bruyère started his solo career in Quebec in 2001 and formed the duo “2 Gars S’essayent” in 2003 in Winnipeg. The duo has presented more than a hundred shows in the Canadian Francophonie and hosted a radio show for almost two years. Two humorous albums were launched, “L’album brun” in 2003 and “Première tentative” in 2007. Although the duo still exists, Martin Bruyère is now back on stage solo. In order to bring French-language comedy to Manitoba, Martin launched “Le Rire Zone” in 2017, a comedy collective that presents comedy shows.



Yvan Lécuyer is a professional bilingual actor who has acted in theater, television and film. He was a member of Vancouver TheatreSports, a company dedicated to the exploration of improvisation in theatrical creation. He has also participated in impro games with the MIL (Manitoba Improv League). We could see him, in the theater in Le Dieu du carnage and La chanson de l’éléphant of the Theater Circle Molière.
